What is MISA?
The Management Information Systems Association is an organization on campus whose goal is to network
with other students and faculty in the field of Information
Systems.
MISA also allows students the opportunity to expand
their education with an exposure to the rapidly expanding
field of Information Systems.
What
does MISA do?
MISA offers opportunities for students to meet
employers and gain knowledge and experience in the
Information Systems field through company tours,
guest speakers, workshops, and social events.

is Information Systems?
Formally, Information Systems (or Information Management,
Management Information Systems, Information Technology) is the study of the
people, processes, hardware, software, and other relevant
resources that facilitate the flow of accurate, detailed,
and useful information to employees, managers, and company
decision makers.
Information Systems includes aspects from computer science, sociology,
psychology, mathematics, business, and even engineering fields.
