Sean O'Harrow was appointed Executive Director of the Figge Art Museum in the Quad-Cities IA/IL in 2007. An art historian with a business and finance background, he previously held the post of Fellow & Development Director of St Catharine's College in the University of Cambridge in the UK, where he set the record for the most raised (over $34m) in the first four-year phase of their $2 billion 800th anniversary campaign.

Prior to that, he spent several years as a senior executive in London working in investment banking and hedge funds. He has taught History of Art & Architecture at US and UK universities and has worked in several museums in the US. He received his undergraduate honors degree from Harvard University and his doctorate from Cambridge University, both in History of Art. His specific area of scholarship is late 15th and early 16th century English and French art and architecture.
