Music Performance

Opportunities for solo, large, and small ensemble performance abound. Weekly student convocations and studio seminars provide less formal experiences as students prepare to present formal public recitals. Students compete for inclusion in the Concerto Concert with the WIU Symphony Orchestra and for Student Conductor Concerts with the University Band. Many students perform in regional symphonies and small student ensembles are in demand for performances throughout the area. Select large ensembles regularly make professional recordings and national or regional tours.
