NEW MUSIC FESTIVAL 2010

Featured Composer: Michael Byron
Call for Participation Composers are invited to submit scores for New Music Festival 2010 (March 8-10, 2010) at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. This year's featured composer is Michael Byron. We welcome proposals from composers for the performance of one work of solo, chamber, or electroacoustic music (stereo playback, with or without performers). Festival performers include WIU faculty, guest artists, and our resident faculty chamber ensembles: the Camerata Woodwind Quintet, the Lamoine Brass Quintet, and the Julstrom String Quartet. Proposals from composers who are able to supply performers are also welcome. Selected composers are required to attend the entire festival. Submission should include:
- Download Submission Form (PDF Format)
- 1 or 2 scores, with accompanying CDs/tapes (no web links)
- Brief biography and/or curriculum vitae, with list of compositions
- Program notes
- Self-addressed stamped envelope for return of materials (if desired)
- Postmark deadline for submission is November 13, 2009.
