WIU Festival of Choirs Nov. 15

MACOMB, IL -- Let the holiday cheer begin! To signal the start of the season, the Western Illinois University's Holiday Festival of Choirs will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 309 W. Jackson Street, Macomb.

Five local ensembles will perform at the festival, including the Western Illinois Singers and Madrigal Singers, directed by School of Music Professor and Director of Choral Activities James Stegall; WIU's Concert Choir, under Assistant Professor Heather Zosel and Macomb High School Madrigal Singers and Concert Choir, directed by Choral Instructor Melanie Butcher.

Assistant Director of the School of Music Moises Molina will provide serenity cellist.

The festival program can be viewed at wiu.edu/choirs.

Tickets ($15 general admission; free for WIU students with a valid ID) are available at the Hainline Box Fffice, (309) 298-2900, from noon- 5 p.m. weekdays or at wiu.edu/BCA; click on "Get Tickets."
