WIU Thanksgiving Break

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL -- Western Illinois University students at the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses will have a week-long break Nov. 19-23. Both campuses will be closed Thursday-Friday, Nov. 22-23 in observance of Thanksgiving.

At WIU-Macomb, residence halls will close at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 and will reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25.

Library hours and closures are posted at wiu.edu/libraries/info/hours/index.php#malpass, and hours for the Donald S. Spencer Student Recreation Center are posted at wiu.edu/student_services/campus_recreation/index.php.

Students return for two weeks of classes before finals week, Monday-Friday, Dec. 10-14. Commencement weekend activities are scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Dec. 14-15. The military science department's Army ROTC commissioning is scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 in the University Union Prairie Lounge, followed by the Academic Honors Convocation at 5:30 p.m. in Western Hall. Commencement ceremonies will be held Saturday, Dec. 15 in Western Hall. Complete information is available at wiu.edu/commencement.
