WIU Jazz Band Concert Dec. 5

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Jazz Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Associate Director of Jazz Studies Michael Stryker will direct the performance, and the program includes "Dreamsville," by Henry Mancini, "Take the ‘A' Train," by Billy Strayhorn, "Cubano Chant," by Ray Bryan, "Belly Roll (The Boy in the Tree)," by Quincy Jones, "Tribute to Miles," arranged by Mark Taylor, "Blue Bossa," by Kenny Dorham, "Day by Day," by Sammy Kahn, Axel Stordahl and Paul Weston, "The Nearness of You," by Ned Washington and Hoagy Carmichael, "That," by Neil Salter and "All of Me," by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons.

The performance is open free to the public.
