WIU Steel Band Concert Dec. 8

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Steel Band will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

Rick Kurasz, director of percussion studies, will lead the band in "Cantata" arranged by Kurasz "Un Poco Loco" and "Shadow of a Doubt," by Tom Miller, "Never Ever Worry," by Lord Pretender and senior music major Adam Brostowitz (Eagle, WI), "Bring a Torch, Jeannette Isabella," arranged by Tom Miller, "Nu Songo," by Manolo Badrena, "A Tune named Bob," by Brostowitz, "Chant," by Liam Teague, "Time After Time," by Cyndi Lauper and Rob Hyman, "My Band," by Ray Holman, "Turning Tables," by Adele and Ryan Tedder and "All the Time," by Alan Lightner.

The concert is open free to the public.
