MACOMB, IL – Job and internship seekers will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from more than 60 companies at the Western Illinois University annual Spring Career and Internship Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5 in the University Union Grand Ballroom. The fair is open free to students, WIU alumni and the public.

The companies and organizations in attendance will be recruiting for both full-time employment and for internships. According to Michelle Howe, assistant director of WIU Career Services, students from all majors are welcome to attend the fair.

"Students are required to dress professionally and at least be dressed in business casual attire. Students wearing jeans, sweatpants, t-shirts or any other casual clothing will not be allowed into the fair. This is to ensure students are projecting their most positive, professional image to the visiting companies," she noted.

Students are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their résumés and learn more about the companies or organizations with which they are interested in networking. Attendees are also encouraged to meet with a Career Services staff member to have their résumés reviewed before the fair. A list of participating companies is available at wiu.edu/careers.

The WIU Graduate Program Expo will be held in conjunction with the Career Fair. Sponsored and organized by the School of Graduate Studies, the Graduate Program Expo will feature representatives from 22 graduate programs to answer questions related to their programs.

The Fall Career Fair is sponsored by WIU Career Services. For more information, contact Career Services at (309) 298-1838 or via email at careers@wiu.edu.
