WIU Outdoor Skills Seminar at Horn Field Campus Feb. 16

MACOMB, IL – Brush up on your outdoors skills and learn new ones at the Western Illinois University Horn Field Campus Outdoor Skills Seminar from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

Instructors will provide lessons on how to make wax fire logs and how to configure different knots, as well as cover animal share construction, water purification and HFC's forestry restoration project (see "Horn Field Campus Gets Arbor Day Foundation Grant for Needed Reforestation Project"). The seminar is open free to the public (all ages), and participants should dress appropriately for winter weather.

Horn Field Campus is located south of Macomb on China Road. From South Johnson Street (past Macomb High School), turn right on China Road and follow the road one-quarter of a mile to the Horn Field Campus entrance. Parking is permitted on the HFC lot.
