MACOMB, IL – For just this one year, the Performing Arts Society's 14th annual wine tasting event will have a bit of basketball thrown in to add to the excitement.

This year's event, set for Saturday, Feb. 23 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., will be themed, "Corks and Court" and will combine wine tasting with the Leathernecks men's basketball game in the ESPN Bracket Buster.

The wine tasting will be held in the University Union Heritage Room at Western and then participants will receive a free general admission ticket to the Leatherneck's game against Cleveland State.

The wine tasting event will feature more than 60 wines, a wine-themed silent auction, live jazz and hors d'oeuvres. The wine list includes selections from Australia, California, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Spain and Washington.

Reservations, due by Friday, Feb. 15, are $40, with a non-alcoholic option available for $20. The attire for the evening has been termed "Leatherneck casual."

Tickets may also be purchased at the door the afternoon of the event and valet parking will be available at the University Union's Murray Street entrance. The event is open to the public and those interested in attending do not need to be members of the PAS.

This year's PAS Wine Tasting is sponsored by Citizens Bank in Macomb, a division of Morton Community Bank.

The Performing Arts Society includes community and University volunteers who, as patrons of the arts, are dedicated to advancing arts programming. PAS raises funds through memberships and social fundraising functions to support arts programming though Western's College of Fine Arts and Communication, including the Youth Performing Arts Series (YPAS) and the Bureau of Cultural Affairs (BCA).
