MOLINE, IL – Karin Lindner, a motivational speaker and author, will present, "How Can We Make Manufacturing Sexy," Friday, Feb. 22 at Western Illinois University's Quad Cities campus.

The workshop focuses on ways manufacturing can be reinvigorated to attract talented people, who in recent years have been drawn to "sexier" industries.

The workshop runs from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and admission is $295 per person. One guest will be admitted free for each person with a paid admission.

Lindner, the founder and owner of Karico Performance Solutions, will share personal stories about her passion for helping individuals and manufacturing companies. She also serves on the Society of Manufacturing Engineers' Toronto Chapter Executive Team.

The workshop is being brought to campus by the WIU-QC Executive Studies Center, which supports the regional business community with open enrollment classes and on-site training sessions. The Executive Studies Center also provides non-credit courses and certificate programs.
