WIU-QC: Update

MOLINE, IL -- The closure for the Western Illinois University Quad Cities campus will expire at midnight (12 a.m.). At this time, the Quad Cities campus will resume regular operations Wednesday, March 6 and classes will begin at 8 a.m.

MOLINE, IL – The Western Illinois University-Quad Cities campus is closed today (March 5) due to winter weather. All classes and events scheduled at the WIU-QC are canceled.

Employees working in essential positions are required to work their regular hours during a total shutdown. The WIU policy on limiting University operations because of emergency conditions is available in the Administrative Procedures Handbook, which can be viewed at

WIU-QC weather announcements are aired on the following radio and television stations: Q106.5 FM, KUUL 101.3 FM, WLLR 103.7 FM, WVIK 90.3 FM, KQCS 93.5 FM, WXLP/KBOB 104.9 FM, KBEA 99.7 FM, KJOC 1170 AM, WDLM 960 AM, KWQC TV – Davenport, IA (NBC), WQAD TV – Moline (ABC), WHBF TV – Rock Island (CBS) and KLJB TV – Davenport, IA (Fox).
