WIU Organ Studio Recital April 21

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University School of Music Organ Studio will perform a recital at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 21 at the First Presbyterian Church, 400 E. Carroll St., in Macomb.

Students of the studio will perform selected pieces. The program includes:

Aritta Oh, graduate music student from Seoul, South Korea, performing "Toccata in C Major," "Magnificat Fugue in C Major," by Johann Pachelbel, "Prire," by Jean Langlais and "Prelude in C Major," by Theodore Beck.

Diane Kasper, senior music therapy student from Sycamore, IL (60178), performing "Da Jesus an dem Kreuze stund," by Samuel Scheidt.

Senior music major Amy Broadbent of Lansing, IL (60438), performing "Adagio (Voluntary VI)" and "Andante Largo (Voluntary V)," by John Stanley.

Music graduate student Ethan Ivey of Plainfield, IL (60544), performing "Gottes Sohn ist kommen," by Johann Sebastian Bach, "Christ Jesus Who Maketh Us Glad," Marcel Dupr and "Revelations," by Daniel Pinkham.

Yihui Wang, graduate music student from Jianchaju, China, performing "Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan," by Pachelbel, "Verset," by Lon Bollman and "Variations from Organ Concerto, Op. 4, No. 1," by George Frideric Handel.

Hye Ji Seo, graduate music student from Chungbuk, South Korea, performing, "Suite de Premier Ton," by Louis-Nicolas Clrambault and "Chorale Preludes from the Miscellaneous Collection," by Bach.

Graduate music student Hwa Young Noh from Gyeowggi-Do, South Korea, performing "Prelude and Fugue in G Minor, BWV 535," by Bach, "Nun bitten wir den heiligen Geist," by Dietrich Buxtehude, "Berceuse," by Louis Vierne and "Triptych II," by Gerhard Krapf.

All organists are students of the studio of WIU Instructor Linda Andrews.
