WIU Horn Studio Recital May 2

MACOMB, IL - -The Western Illinois University School of Music Horn Studio will perform at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2 in the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) Recital Hall.

The ensemble will perform, "Der ‘Prinz Louis Ferdinand von Preussen' Marsch," by Herman Jeurissen, "Rondo in B-Flat," by Arnold Cooke, "Rondo from the Horn Quintet," by W.A. Mozart, "Sonata," by Paul Hindemith, "Air de Chasse," by Louis Piantoni and "Silverado," by Bruce Broughton.

Students performing include Andrea Owens (senior music therapy major, Martinton, IL), Megan Melcher (senior music education major, Geneseo, IL), Lindsey Ruberg (senior music education major, Burlington, IA), Vanessa Montelongo (graduate music student, Laredo, TX), Eric Linke (senior music education major, Geneva, IL), Mark Malvesti (senior music major, Rockford, IL), Michael Aitchison (sophomore economics major, jazz studies minor, Iowa City, IA), Alexander Adams (sophomore meteorology major, Macomb), Matthew Chenoweth (sophomore music business major, Macomb), Joseph Bowman (senior computer science major, music minor, Princeton, IL) and Kimberly Truemper (junior music therapy major, Naperville, IL).

All students are part of the horn studio under the direction of Professor Randall Faust.

The concert is open free to the public.
