MACOMB, IL – Edwardsville High School senior Brandon Morse, of Glen Carbon, IL, has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Morse said he chose Western because it has a "big school atmosphere in a small town" and because of the Centennial Honors Scholarship he earned.

At Western, Morse said he will likely major in engineering. He said he would like to participate in soccer programming and the University's Study Abroad program.

In high school, Morse participated in National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, C.A.R.E. and club and recreational soccer.
