WIU International Students to Receive Scholarships for Fall 2013

MACOMB, IL — Several international students have been awarded scholarships from Western Illinois University's Center for International Studies for Fall 2013. They are as follows:

WEOG (Western Europeans and Others Group) Award — $500 Each
Bharadwaj Ponnala, graduate student, computer science, Karimnagar, India
Arum Kim, graduate student, music, Seoul, South Korea
Kirthi Pallempati, graduate student, chemistry, Bodhan, Nizamabad, Andhra Pradesh, India
Christine Beisel, graduate student, math, Darmstadt, Germany
Maximiliam Cederkall, freshman, pre-business marketing, Huddinge, Sweden

Bessie Meyers Scholarship Fund — $350
Ashish Adhikari, graduate student, physics, Lalitpur, Nepal

In-Kon Kim Scholarship — $900
Donghee Koh, graduate student, geography, Donam-dong, Seoul, South Korea

Ruth Hughes WESL (Western English as a Second Language) Institute Scholarship — $700
Tian Le Wang, sophomore, construction management, Shanghai, China

Francis and Peggy Davern International Scholarship — $125
Oluwatobi Olorunsola, graduate student, physics, Lagos, Nigeria

Macomb Branch AAUW (American Assn. of University Women) International Student Scholarship — $375
