WIU Study Abroad Fair To Be Held Aug. 29

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Study Abroad Office will offer students a chance to learn about educational opportunities around the world at the Center for International Studies 11th annual Study Abroad Fair, which will be held from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 in the University Union Prairie Lounge.

Several WIU faculty members and representatives from areas on campus will be available to answer questions and give information about their programs, including the Honors College, Financial Aid Office, Scholarship Office, Phi Beta Delta, Peace Corps and the departments of (School of) Agriculture; Art; Biological Sciences; Business and Technology; Communication; Dietetics, Fashion Merchandising and Hospitality; Foreign Languages and Literature; History; Management and Marketing; (School of) Nursing; Political Science; Psychology and Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration.

"The purpose of the fair is to introduce students, both graduate and undergraduate, to some representatives from our affiliates, showcase the programs and educate students on the possibilities available to them for studying abroad," said study abroad Office Support Specialist Dawn Gray.

"Students will have the opportunity to also talk directly with students have previously studied abroad," Gray added.

The Study Abroad Fair is open free to the public; students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.
