MACOMB, IL – If you're looking for employment or internship possibilities, you will want to attend the Western Illinois University annual Fall Career Fair from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1 in the University Union Grand Ballroom. The fair is open free to WIU students, alumni and the public.

According to Assistant Director of the WIU Career Development Center (CDC) Michelle Howe, more than 50 companies will be recruiting for both full-time employment and for internships.

"Students from all majors are welcome to attend the fair, and all attendees are required to dress professionally and are encouraged to bring copies of their résumés, as well as research the companies they are interested in networking with," Howe said. "Attendees are also encouraged to meet with a Career Development Center staff member to have their résumés reviewed before the fair."

Howe said a list of participating companies is available at wiu.edu/cdc.

In conjunction with the WIU CDC, the School of Graduate Studies is hosting the WIU Graduate Program Expo for those interested in attending graduate school at Western. There will be more than 15 graduate programs represented to answer questions related to their individual programs, Howe noted.

The Fall Career Fair is sponsored by WIU Career Development Center. For more information, contact WIU's Career Development Center at (309) 298-1838.
