CPA Review Course Offered at WIU

MACOMB, IL — The Western Illinois University Department of Accountancy, in combination with CPAexcel, will offer a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) review course beginning Friday, Jan. 24.
The spring 2014 semester will cover the Regulation (REG) and Audit (AUD) review sections. The Fall semester will cover the Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) and Business Environment and Concepts (BEC) sections of the CPA exam.
The review course includes Friday and Saturday sessions with in-class instructional videos, an instructor to go over practice questions, a supplemental online course, review books, software and a set of flash cards. The regular price for the review is $2,000, but individuals who sign up through WIU get a discounted price of $1,495 for all four sections, or registration for each section individually is available for $375 per section.
The review group will meet Friday evenings from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The group also meets Saturday mornings and afternoons beginning at 9 a.m.
The course will begin with REG and will run until Feb. 15. Auditing review sections will run from March 21 – March 29. FAR and BEC sections will be covered in the Fall 2014 semester.
