MOLINE/MACOMB, IL - The 2013-14 Western Illinois University-Quad Cities viewbook recently received a silver award in the 2013 Collegiate Advertising Awards (CAA) contest.

The viewbook was designed by Jessica Lambert, a webmaster/graphic designer in University Relations, in collaboration with the WIU-QC admissions and marketing team.

"This outstanding publication helps us attract students to our great University and highlights all of the academic excellence and educational and personal growth opportunities offered at the Quad Cities campus," said Joseph Rives, vice president for Quad Cities and Planning. "We are also excited that we advanced from the Bronze honor last year to the Silver Award this year. I would like to thank University Relations for their help with this project, particularly Jessica Lambert, as well as WIU-QC Marketing Director Tami Seitz."

More than 700 entries were received from colleges and universities across the nation. The WIU-QC viewbook received a silver in the "Student Viewbook-Printed" category.

Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. The publications are judged by a panel of design and education marketing professionals.
