Plagenz Named WIU-QC Development Director

MOLINE, IL -- Paul Plagenz has been named the director of development for the WIU-Quad Cities campus, effective Monday, April 14.

Plagenz replaces Gary Rowe who retired from Western in December 2013. He is currently the director of development for the Quad City Symphony Orchestra, where is he directing a $4 million endowment campaign. He has also worked with Junior Achievement of the Heartland as vice president of development, and served as an events specialist for the Royal Neighbors of America.

"We are pleased to welcome Paul to the Western Illinois University-Quad Cities team. I am confident he will continue to build on Gary's many successes," added Vice President for the Quad Cities and Planning Joe Rives. "Paul's development experience within the region will serve Western's Quad Cities campus well."

Plagenz received his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University.
