MACOMB, IL – High school senior Courtney Fauke, of Carlyle (IL), has been awarded a President's Scholarship to Western Illinois University, which covers four years of tuition, fees and residence hall room and board at the school.

Fauke plans to major in accounting. In high school, she was involved in National Honor Society, Spanish club, science club, WYSE Team, band, Spanish honor society and the Clinton County MS Society.

After graduation from WIU, Fauke hopes to take the exam to become a certified public accountant (CPA) and possibly work as a forensic accountant.

The Western Illinois University President's Scholarship Fund has provided more than $500,000 in scholarships to more than 225 students. To qualify, students must have a minimum ACT score of 32 and have already received WIU's Centennial Commitment Scholarship. The scholarship decision is also weighted by proof of volunteer and community service.
