Pollock Awarded Centennial Honors Scholarship

MACOMB, IL – High school senior Sean Pollock, of Peoria (IL), has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Pollock said he is considering majoring in chemistry at Western.

"The Centennial Honors Program will give me both the financial assistance and educational opportunities to succeed after college," Pollock said.

At Western, Pollock would like to participate in music performance groups and theatrical performances.

In high school, Pollock participated in madrigals, plays, musicals, choir, band, speech team, jazz band and a men's acapella group.
