Western Organization for Women to Hold Summer Meeting

MACOMB, IL – The Western Organization for Women (WOW) at Western Illinois University will host its summer meeting from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, July 24 in Horrabin Hall, 1.

The meeting will include an informal discussion with WIU President Jack Thomas, Provost Ken Hawkinson and Vice President for Student Services Gary Biller. The goal of the meeting is to talk about issues of interest to female employees, retirees and students.

The event is open free to the public, and questions and concerns can be submitted prior to the event to WOW Co-President Heather McMeekan at HM-McMeekan@wiu.edu.

The objectives of WOW include promoting equality for women within the University, collaborating with other local, state and national women's organizations to help improve the status of women in society and to encourage WIU's female students to become aware of their roles as women and to participate in activities to define and enlarge those roles.

WOW membership is open to all WIU faculty and staff.
