WIU Bass Open is Sept. 20

MACOMB, IL — Western Illinois University's bass fishing team will host the WIU Bass Open Sept. 20 at Spring Lake in Macomb.
Registration begins at 6 a.m., with a $50 entry fee and an optional $10 fee for a big bass contest. The open will launch at 7 a.m. and weigh-in starts at 2:15 p.m. The event is open to the public, and fans are welcome at weigh-in.
There is a guaranteed payout for the top three prizes provided by WIU fishing team sponsors. Twenty percent of the money raised benefits the WIU bass fishing team.
