MACOMB, IL — Members of the Western Illinois University campus community will have the opportunity to hear from Letisha Trepac, assistant to the academic vice president for budget and personnel at WIU. One of Trepac's responsibilities in her position is to oversee academic payroll, and she will be addressing that topic in her presentation, "Money Talks," at noon Wednesday, Sept. 10 in the Leslie F. Malpass Library, room 180.

"Getting the money in our bank accounts is the last step of a complex process," said Bill Thompson, professor at University Libraries, which is co-sponsoring Trepac's talk. "Ms. Trepac will discuss how raises, professional achievement awards (commonly referred to as 'PAA'), basic increases, etc., are added together to get the number we call our salaries. Ms. Trepac will also discuss the kinds of questions the payroll office answers, not all of which are necessarily related to money. For instance, did you know that your personnel file is kept in the payroll office and that you can make an appointment to come there and view it? It is and you can."

"Money Talks" is also co-sponsored by University Professionals of Illinois, Local 4100.
