BSA and GBCC Release Homecoming Schedule

MACOMB, IL — Western Illinois University's Homecoming is right around the corner, and the Black Student Association and the Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center (GBCC) has released its activity schedule for Homecoming weekend, Oct. 3-4:

Friday, Oct. 3:
Black Student Association Homecoming (featuring GROOVEJAM Talent Showcase and Kick-Off Party with DJ Nehpets and DJ iX3, hosted by DJ McFly)
• Doors open at 8:30 p.m. in the University Union Heritage Room
• $15 for WIU students in advance, $20 at the door
• $25 for the public in advance, $30 at the door

Saturday, Oct. 4:

GBCC Homecoming Open House
• Gwendolyn Brooks Memorial Park (next to Alumni House and across from Lake Ruth) 10:30 a.m.
• Come join alumni, family, friends, students and staff for the annual homecoming parade
• Refreshments provided and limited seating is available

Black Student Association's GROOVEJAM Concert Series starring FUTURE featuring Spenzo and Bopking DLOW
• 8 p.m. Western Hall (Doors open at 7:30 p.m.)
• Special performance by GBCC Dance Troupe
• Tickets on sale at Hainline Theatre Box Office (Call (309-298-2900 Monday-Friday from Noon- 5p.m. or purchase online at www.etix.com) Advance tickets for WIU students are $40; $45 at the door. Advance tickets for non-students are $50; $55 at the door

Homecoming After Party
• 11 p.m.-2 a.m. University Union Heritage Room (Doors open at 10:30 p.m.)
• Advance tickets for WIU students are $25; $30 at the door (if available) Advance tickets for the public are $35; $40 at the door (if available)
