WIU Homecoming King and Queen Announced

MACOMB, IL – The royalty for Western Illinois University's Homecoming 2014 celebration was named Thursday night at the annual Yell Like Hell event in Western Hall.

This year's Homecoming queen is Sarah Peterson, and the king is Jeff Coy. Peterson is a junior physical education major, with an endorsement in health education from Princeton, IL. Coy is a senior law enforcement and justice administration major from McHenry, IL.

This year's runners up were Vanessa Redpath, a junior special education and elementary education major from Viola, IL, and Alex Parker, a junior exercise science major from Moline, IL.

All 10 members of the homecoming court will ride in the annual Homecoming parade at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Macomb. Other members of the court include Brandon Hayes, of Aurora, IL; Katie Campagna, of Downers Grove, IL; Spencer Cotton, of Hazel Crest, IL; Colt Korth, of Lake in the Hills, IL; Kaylee McAllister, of New Holland, IL and Alexandra Zimmerman, of Rockford, IL.

This year's Homecoming theme is "A Hero's Homecoming – Who's Your Hero." A complete schedule of the weekend's events is available at wiu.edu/homecoming.
