MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Office of Human Resources announced the launch of the annual State and University Combined Appeal (SECA) campaign, which provides employees the opportunity to donate to the charitable cause of their choice. The campaign will be held through Nov. 7.

SECA, established in 1983, is a workplace campaign that allows state employees to donate to nearly 2,000 charities at local, state, national and international levels. State employees have contributed more than $67 million to improve our environment.

By being a part of SECA, individuals demonstrate how working together can create healthy, safe and strong communities. Last year, Western Illinois University employees pledged $9,598 to 38 different charities. The goal this year is $11,000.

Visit Illinois.gov/seca/pages/searchresults.aspx to choose a charity. Complete a SECA pledge form for payroll deduction or a one-time gift. Forms are available in Human Resources, Sherman Hall, room 105 or online at Illinois.gov/seca/pages/forms.aspx. Submit your pledge form to WIU's SECA Ambassador, Shelia Downin, human resources assistant manager, Sherman Hall, room 105.
