WIU Grad Prep Day is Oct. 23-24

MACOMB, IL – December 2014 Western Illinois University graduates can get their graduation questions answered and tie up any loose ends at the annual Grad Prep Day, hosted by the WIU Alumni Association.

Grad Prep Day on the Macomb Campus is scheduled from 9 a.m.-1p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 in the University Union Concourse, and the Quad Cities campus event will be held from 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23 in the Riverfront Hall.

There will be several campus offices on site to answer all graduation questions, including Financial Aid, the Visual Production Center, Registrar's Office, Billing and Receivables, Career Development Center, the University Bookstore and the Alumni Association. On Friday, Oct. 24, the WIU Financial Aid office will be presenting group sessions entitled, "Before You Leave: Your Student Loans and What to Expect," at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the Fox Room of the University Union. They will also be available to meet with students individually from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fox Room.

Students will have the chance to order and pick up their cap and gown from the WIU Bookstore, learn about graduation pictures, and order class rings, sold by Jostens, will be discounted up to 40 percent off.

Alumni Programs staff will be on hand to explain all the benefits of being a non-dues paying member of the Alumni Association and give students a free gift, just for stopping by.
