MACOMB, IL – The annual Performing Arts Society's (PAS) Gala and Silent Auction, which raises money to bring in year-round arts programming for area youth, will be held Saturday, Nov. 8.

Reservations are now being accepted for the event, which begins at 5 p.m. in the University Union Grand Ballroom. This year's theme is "Casablanca: Here's Looking at you, Kid," and the event is sponsored by MidAmerica National Bank.

The event begins with cocktails and will move to hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction, dinner and dancing. Music will be provided by Chicago's premiere urban deejays, "Style Matters."

A variety of silent auction items will be available to bid on, including the last WIU New York City theatre trip with WIU President Emeritus Al Goldfarb, as well as a variety of travel opportunities, symphony tickets, art, jewelry and spa packages.

For dinner, guests can choose from Moroccan roasted chicken, with couscous, apricots and dates, Moroccan spiced steak with couscous and roasted vegetables and falafel and raita with couscous and marinated vegetables.

All proceeds from the silent auction support the PAS Youth Performing Arts Series (YPAS), which offers live arts performances on the WIU campus to area K-8 school children at no cost to the schools. PAS also funds scholarships for students to attend the Summer Music Institute at WIU, and it supports BCA.

Tickets are $75 per person. Corporate tables are available for $90 and $100 per seat.
