MACOMB, IL — The student chapter of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) at Western Illinois University is seeking sponsors for the fifth annual Promise to Practice Week program Sunday-Saturday, Nov. 9-15.

Promise to Practice Week is part of a nationally recognized program through the MusicLink Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that offers financially disadvantaged children the opportunity for specialized music instruction.

WIU students participate in the program by pledging to practice a certain amount of hours during the designated week, and sponsors pledge to donate a dollar amount to match the practice hours. All donations are tax deductible and are given to the MusicLink Foundation.

Anyone interested in sponsoring a WIU musician taking part in Promise to Practice Week can email Amy Broadbent at AA-Broadbent@wiu.edu or Matt Nall at MJ-Nall2@wiu.edu.
