MACOMB, IL — Missy Fish, from the University of Missouri–Columbia Dept. of Textile and Apparel Management, will present "Left vs. Right—The Art and Science of Retail Merchandising" at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 in the University Union Sandburg Theatre. The event is open free to the public.

Fish has worked in the retail industry for four decades. She has worked for a $13 billion department store chain, as well as for mid-size and smaller retail organizations. Additionally, she has been involved in the wholesale side of the business and worked as an assist buyer, buyer, store manager, merchandise manager, product developer and catalog merchandiser. She has supervised teams as large as 20 and as small as three individuals, and she has merchandised costume jewelry, children's apparel, scrubs and dance-wear products.

Fish's presentation is co-sponsored by the College of Education and Human Services; the WIU Dept. of Dietetics, Fashion Merchandising and Hospitality (DFMH); the Visiting Lecture Committee; and the Council on Student Activities Funds.
