Col. Rock III Calendar "Signing" Dec. 15 at WIU Bookstore

MACOMB, IL -- Col. Rock III, Western Illinois University's mascot, will be at the University Bookstore Monday, Dec. 15 "signing" the 2015 Col. Rock III calendars and posing for photo opps with his fans.

Individuals who purchase the calendar, which are on sale at the University Bookstore and online at http://tinyurl.com/o58tl78, can have their calendar(s) "signed" with an official Rocky pawprint stamp from 12:30-2 p.m. Dec. 15.

Designed by University Relations Graphic Designer Caren Bordowitz, the 2015 calendar, featuring photos of Western's four-legged mascot taken by WIU Visual Production Center photographers, is on sale. A portion of the proceeds from calendar sales will go toward the Col. Rock III Fund, established by the WIU Foundation in February 2012, which helps meet travel-related, food, health care and "clothing" expenses.

The 12-month calendar showcases photos of Col. Rock III (aka Rocky) around campus and in the community, as well as links to Western websites and select WIU-related dates, such as Col. Rock's birthday, Founders' Day, Homecoming and Purple and Gold Day, to name a few.
