Cody Albright, First WIU student to earn Integrated Marketing Communications Certificate

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University marketing major Cody Albright, of Peoria, IL, is the first recipient of the WIU Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Undergraduate Certificate.

To receive the certificate, students must complete a five-course sequence in the areas of advertising and professional concepts, Internet marketing, direct marketing and professional selling.

"The IMC certificate designation assures that students have acquired the skills and expertise necessary to meet diverse industry needs in multiple marketing communication channels," said Craig Conrad, management and marketing department chair. "In addition to earning the IMC certificate, Cody's dedication to the marketing discipline and demonstrated ability to utilize core promotion concepts earned him multiple distinctions."

Albright served as president of the Marketing Club and as the WIU College of Business and Technology Student Ambassador. He is a member of the Sigma Iota Epsilon Honors fraternity and Delta Sigma Pi and participated in the Collegiate Effie Awards competition in Spring 2014.
