WIU Libraries' Author Recognition Reception April 29; Submission Deadline March 13

MACOMB, IL — Western Illinois University Libraries is sponsoring the 10th annual WIU Author Recognition Reception in late April. Faculty, staff (including retired faculty or staff members) and students who published during the 2014 calendar year are encouraged to complete the Libraries' author submission form by Friday, March 13.
The Author Recognition Reception is slated for 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29 in the Leslie F. Malpass Library Garden Lounge. According to Jeanne Stierman, assistant dean of libraries, the reception will feature displays of the submitted published works, as well as refreshments.
To ensure that published items are displayed during the reception, authors are encouraged to deliver prints or other hard copies of their works to Stierman (Malpass Library, room 217) by Wednesday, April 22. She said each author should indicate whether his or her work is to be donated to the WIU Libraries' collection or to be returned to the author after the reception.
Author submission forms—for published books, chapters, articles, reviews, poems, video or audio recordings, compositions, software and/or exhibited works—are all available on the University Libraries' website at www.wiu.edu/libraries/wiu_authors/.
