WIU Admissions Hosts Spring Events

MACOMB, IL - - This spring semester Western Illinois University is offering several opportunities for future Leathernecks to meet faculty, staff and WIU students at events on Western's campus and in the Chicago area.

The Macomb events include touring campus, exploring majors, obtaining additional information, spending the night and shadowing a current student in class. The spring events are designed to give future students the opportunity to prepare for their transition to the University, according to WIU Admissions Director Andy Borst.

"We want to make the college transition process as easy as possible for our prospective students and their families. It is important to provide opportunities to get all their questions addressed," Borst added.

Feb. 18: President's Reception (Macomb)
Feb. 21: Tinley Park Welcome Reception
Feb. 22: Chicago Welcome Reception
Feb. 28: Schaumburg Welcome Reception
March 1: Oak Brook Welcome Reception

WIU will also host special on-campus programs for incoming students to explore campus life and specific majors.

Feb. 21: Discover Western-Quad Cities
March 6: Business Day
March 13: Discover Western-Quad Cities
March 27: Elementary Education Day
March 29-30: Experience Western
April 10: Latino Day
April 11: Discover Western Open House
April 19-20: Experience Western
