Global Chef to Cook Russian Cuisine at Western Illinois University

MACOMB, IL - - Sodexo will be welcoming Anatoly Kim, a Russian Chef, to Western Illinois Universities Dining Halls Thursday, March 12.

"The Global Chef Program brings authentic international cuisine to campus," said Anna Filson, Sodexo marketing manager.

Chef Kim will be cooking lunch for the Thompson Dining Center from 11-11:30 a.m. and dinner for the Corbin Olson Dining Center from 5-7 p.m.

The menu items that will be served are as follows:

Thompson lunch:
Beef on-stoganovski with buckwheat; meatballs with sweet prune and tomato sauce; pearl barley porridge; Sakhalin-style barbeque chicken; rice croquettes; beef bacon and kielbasa soup; fried garlic zucchini; Sakhalin-style squid with carrots; potato salad with beef tongue; fresh fruit juice; cranberry fruit drink and a berry tart.

Corbin dinner:
Beef bulgogi with jasmine rice; beef on-stoganovski with buckwheat; Russian style salmon; baked potatoes; beef bacon and kielbasa soup; fried garlic zucchini; Sakhalin-style squid with carrots; Chinese cabbage chicken salad and potato salad with beef tongue.
