WIU to Host Region 1 Science Fair March 28

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University will host the Illinois Junior Academy of Science Region 1 Science Fair Saturday, March 28 in Waggoner Hall.

Students from middle, junior and high schools in 15 western Illinois counties will compete in the fair from approximately 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m., then the science fair projects will be open for the public to view from approximately 12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.

This year, students from WIU's biology, chemistry and physics teacher licensure program will help with the program, as well as students from the WIU National Science Teachers Association Student Chapter, the Biological Sciences Graduate Student Association, the Research Inspiring Student Excellence (RISE) program, the Chemistry Club and the Physics Club.
