Coffee House Bash April 17

MOLINE, IL - In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences Student Organization (IDEAS) will sponsor a Coffee House Bash from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, April 17, which will feature local author Brent Tubbs.

The Coffee House Bash will be held in the QC Complex atrium, 3300 River Dr. in Moline, IL. The event will also host an "open mic" opportunity, art gallery and refreshments.

Tubbs is author of "TUSA," an action filled young adult novel set in Chicago. Tubbs has a passion for acting and performs with the Quad Cities' improv troupe, "ComedySportz."

IDEAS has sponsored the Coffee House Bash for the past three years to create a social event for the Quad Cities to celebrate English, the arts and the humanities. IDEAS is an organization created by and for undergraduate and graduate students at WIU-QC.
