'America's Next Top Model' Winner Coming to WIU

MACOMB, IL – Jaslene Gonzalez, a winner on the television show 'America's Next Top Model,' will speak at Western Illinois University at 5 p.m. Monday, April 27 in the Multicultural Center.

In Presenting "The Road to the Top," Gonzalez will offer a casual question and answer discussion regarding her career and the trials and tribulations that ultimately led to her winning the television modeling reality show. She will also focus on the business and her work with domestic violence issues.

Gonzalez was born in Puerto Rico and was raised in Humboldt Park, Chicago, IL. Prior to her television appearance, she was a college admissions advisor and appeared in Chicago fashion shows.

She is also involved in spreading awareness for domestic violence because she was once a victim.

Students who attend the LEAD-qualifying series presentation will receive VIP seating for the Mr. Papi Chulo Pageant, which Gonzalez will host at 7 p.m. in the University Union Grand Ballroom.
