Mr. Papi Chulo Pageant Planned at WIU April 27

MACOMB, IL – The first Mr. Papi Chulo Pageant at Western Illinois University will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, April 27 in the University Union Grand Ballroom.

Admission is $1 per person at the door, and the pageant will be hosted by "America's Next Top Model" winner Jaslene Gonzalez.

Ten men from WIU will participate in the pageant, which has a professional spin. The contest will feature an interview with judges prior to the event, as well as a "Personal Style" component, a "Suit and Tie" portion and a final question round.

Each contestant has been raising money for the Make A Wish Foundation and will be doing a volunteer project within the Macomb community.

The pageant winner will claim a $300 prize, and the winner will present an educational program about issues facing men in college.
