WIU's ATSA to Host Speaker Kathy Schniedwind, NATA Hall of Fame Inductee

MACOMB, IL — Western Illinois University's Athletic Training Student Association (ATSA) will host guest speaker Kathy Schniedwind at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 23 in Brophy Hall, room 235. The event is open free to all WIU students.

During her three decades as an athletic trainer at Illinois State University, Schniedwind gained national recognition for her work on the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports; was selected as one of the athletic trainers for the U.S. team at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, Korea; and was inducted into the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Hall of Fame.

Her presentation will focus on how to become an effective leader.

The event is co-sponsored by the WIU ATSA, the Visiting Lectures Committee and the Council on Student Activity Funds.
