MACOMB, IL - Western Illinois University Assistant Professor of Music Penelope Shumate will make a return appearance to Carnegie Hall as part of Verdi's "Messa da Requiem," Sunday, May, 24 in New York City, NY.

The performance, which begins at 8:30 p.m. in Stern Auditorium, Carnegie Hall, is part of Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY). The work for chorus, soloists and orchestra contains intense drama and beautiful melodies.
