Executive Director of Development Interview June 16

MACOMB, IL -- One candidate for the Western Illinois University executive director of development position will interview Tuesday, June 16, according to Meredith Hancks, search committee chair.

An open session with Kellie Esters, vice president for development and donor relations for Trinity Health Foundation, will be held from 2:45-3:15 p.m. in the University Union Lincoln Room. Esters' complete resume and itinerary can be found at wiu.edu/employment.

Esters has served in her current role with Trinity since August 2012. Previously, she was the vice president for fund development for the Scott County (Iowa) Family Y (2007-2012) and director of foundation and development services at WIU (2002-2007). Esters also served as director of major gifts and donor stewardship (2000-2002) and assistant to the vice president for advancement and public services (1995-2000) at Western. She was the director of alumni relations and annual giving at Monmouth College from 1991-1995.

Esters earned her master's degree in College Student Personnel from WIU and her bachelor's degree in education at Monmouth College.

The executive director of development is responsible for leading a team of fundraising and advancement professionals and support personnel engaged in institutional advancement efforts at Western. The executive director of development coordinates and executes a unified and balanced development strategy to meet fundraising objectives and assists in the planning, execution and management of comprehensive campaigns for WIU.
