Macomb's July 4th Celebration Planned on Hanson Field

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University and the city of Macomb will present a variety of entertainment and a fireworks display as part of the annual Fourth of July celebration, planned at WIU's Hanson Field Saturday, July 4.

The gates of Hanson Field open at 6 p.m. for entertainment prior to the fireworks display. The entertainment schedule includes:

• 6:30-7 p.m. – Jayme Larson's Dance Academy – Suzy Q's
• 7-7:30 p.m. – The Blenders
• 7:45 p.m. - Presentation of the colors by the Macomb American Legion and VFW Post #1921
• 8 p.m. - The Macomb Municipal Band will perform until the fireworks display, which begins at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.)

In case of rain, the fireworks will be held Sunday, July 5.
