MACOMB, IL -- "When you reach for the stars you may not quite get one, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either." [advertising giant Leo Burnett]. Unless of course you're participating in Western Illinois University's mud volleyball tournament.

University Housing and Dining Services' 13th annual mud volleyball tournament will be held from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at the mud volleyball courts east of Bayliss-Henninger halls. Sponsored by Bayliss-Henninger, the goal of the one-day fundraiser is to raise more than $5,000 for the Macomb Fire Department. Students, faculty and staff are invited to participate.

In addition to the games, the event will feature music, food and a 60-foot water slide. Shirts and sunglasses are available for purchase. Cost to participate is $5/person. Registration forms are due to the Bayliss Hall information desk by noon, Thursday, Aug. 27.

For more information, contact Bayliss-Henninger Complex Director Jamie Herrygers at (309) 298-3011 or JL-Herrygers@wiu.edu.
