WIU to Hold Activities, Local Business and Volunteer Fairs

MACOMB, IL – The Western Illinois University activities, local business and volunteer fairs, sponsored by the Office of Student Activities, will take place from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Students interested in getting involved on campus can visit the activities fair in the University Union Grand Ballroom and learn about student organizations, as well as receive giveaways.

Organizational executive board members will be in attendance, representing many of WIU's on-campus groups.

Students may also stop by the local business fair outside of the Grand Ballroom, which will feature Macomb-area businesses and more giveaways. Some businesses in attendance will include AT&T, Quick Print & Signs, Campus Pointe and Campus Manor apartments, United Community Bank, Dot Foods, UniQue Personnel Consultants, Nelson's Clothing, Spoon River College, Tattoo Blue, Family Chiropractic, Aspen Court, Peoria Charter and Lincoln Tattoo Company.

Information about volunteer opportunities in the McDonough County area, or on campus, will be available at the volunteer fair, which will be in the University Union Brattain Lounge.

Registration is open through Friday, Aug. 28 for student organizations or businesses interested in having a table at the fairs.
