Engineering Technology Open House is Oct. 23

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Department of Engineering Technology will hold an open house beginning at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23 in Knoblauch Hall.
High school counselors and teachers and students interested in attending Western or transferring to WIU are invited to meet the faculty, tour the facilities and learn about opportunities available with a degree in construction management, engineering technology or graphic communication.
The schedule of events includes:
8:30-9 a.m. – Registration in Knoblauch Hall, room 239 (entrance area). A continental breakfast will be provided.
9-9:25 a.m. – Welcome by Ray Diez, chair of the engineering and technology department; faculty introduction
9:25-9:45 – WIU admissions counselor
9:45-10:15 – Department advisor
10:15-10:30 – Break
10:30-11 a.m. – Student organization/club introductions
11-11:30 a.m. – A day in the life of a WIU Engineering Technology student
11:30-noon – Lunch
Noon-12:45 p.m. – Closing remarks
12:45-2 p.m. – Residence hall/campus tour (if desired)
